Project Management and PMO
Our project
management techniques driven by international recognized standards
such as Prince 2 and PMBOK (PMI)
apply to all types of projects- large, medium, small, business or
IT/technical. Our strong and long experience in the subject gives
us the ability to deliver efficiently large complex projects with
international exposures. We have undertaken projects of the size
of a large business, projects with dispersed and multicultural
teams, programs made of
multiple interdependent projects and we delivered them
successfully.
Our
approach to setting up Project Management Offices and Project
Support Offices is identical to our project management
methodology. Depending on the industry and/or the level of the PMO-
is it for a large project only, is it for a department, or is at
corporate level- we tailor
our solution accordingly and we put in place a structure that is
scalable and that can deal
efficiently with project control as well as with project
management mentoring.
Reporting
is broken down into various levels providing the right information
at the right time and to the
right people. For instance, Middle Management will require more
detailed information
on projects and on a more frequent basis than Executive
Management. Whilst Executive Management may be more interested in
finance, risk, major issues and deadlines.
We
recognize that a PMO initiative at a corporate level or at a
department level should be dealt with
as a Change Management project. The main effort is usually in
finding the best way to get
buy-in from the main stakeholders in order to put in place
workable processes and
procedures.
In summary,
our project management techniques and our PMO processes include
all types of project risk management, project governance, project organisation, project control finance, risk, issues, delivery
etc), reporting (steering committees, escalation routes etc),
vendor and contract management, RFPs evaluations & bid management,
legal etc.
